The Crafty Caterpillar is a creative collaboration between the Laurel Highlands Workforce & Opportunity Center (LHWOC) and Harbor Momentum, designed to introduce children to the world of work through hands-on, engaging experiences. This initiative blends early workforce development with arts-based learning, helping young participants explore skills, creativity, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Through interactive activities, children are introduced to foundational workplace concepts such as teamwork, responsibility, communication, and problem-solving, all while expressing themselves through art and creativity. The program creates an exciting, age-appropriate pathway for youth to begin understanding the value of work and the possibilities ahead.

By combining imagination with real-world skill-building, The Crafty Caterpillar lays the groundwork for future success, helping children grow, explore, and begin their journey toward becoming confident, capable members of tomorrow’s workforce.
