Career-Focused Training – Our Programs are designed to provide the relevant, up-to-date skills employers are looking for in the growing healthcare industry. As an LHWOC student, all of your time will be spent on relevant skills you’ll use on the job.
Tuition-Free Education – At Laurel Highlands Workforce & Opportunity Center, we believe in investing your mind, not your money. That’s why our programs are offered tuition-free to students, allowing you to focus entirely on graduating with career-ready skills.
Clinical Externship – During your externship, you will get on-site experience in a real medical setting before you graduate. Externships are a great way to build real-world skillsets while also developing your confidence.
Wraparound Services – We will supply you with life services known as Wraparound Services. Services include childcare care assistance*, transportation assistance*, interviewing skills and more. (*For those who qualify)

As a student in our programs, you will learn a broad range of skills necessary to enter the healthcare industry.
Tuition-Free Training
Tuition is not charged to students who are residents of Pennsylvania and also have their high school diploma or equivalent. Funding for LHWOC is received through the state, foundations, grants, and individual donors. The tuition, fees, uniforms, scrubs, and textbooks are covered for all accepted students.
